Brackloon NS Duathlon

On Tuesday 21st of June, we held our annual duathlon for 5th and 6th class. This was a lap of Brackloon woods, approximately 3.7 km and a very very hilly 6.5 km cycle. This year our Queen of the Woods was Alia Albers, first home for the girls in 17m2secs. Our King of the Woods was Matthew O’Raghallaigh, home in 16m19secs.

The cycle was a more leisurely affair, with the challenge being to get to the top of ‘Heartbreak Hill’ with no stops. An impressive amount of people managed this, 11 in total! Unfortunately we only had prizes for 2 King/Queens of the Hill and then prizes for participation.
