Pat Cox Memorial Blitz

On Wednesday 8th June, we entered 2 teams in the shield and 1 cup team. We left Brackloon NS with almost 50 children to take part in the tournament! There were very difficult conditions on the day with the rain falling heavily and the wind blowing fiercely. However, the children battled on. Each team played 3 matches before the cup team made it to the finals! It was a wonderful display of hurling in the final against Gaelscoil na Cruaiche, but it was not the winning day for Brackloon, with the team missing out by 2 points.

We were all very proud to see so many boys and girls involved in the hurling for the day-maith sibh!
